Iron(III) Complexes Derived From Azo-Containing Salicylaldoxime Ligands: Synthesis, Structures and Biological Evaluations

چکیده

Two novel mononuclear Fe(III) complexes derived from azo-containing salicylaldoxime ligands were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic data i.e. IR, 1H NMR, UV-Vis, electrospray ionization mass spectra, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements. Both the experimental theoretical results strongly suggest that have a major contribution to azo enol imine form instead of hydrazo keto amine forms in solution/solid-state. The electronic spectra their iron(III) calculated theoretically for band assignments using DFT TD-DFT/CPCM methods. DNA binding, cleavage, antioxidative activities investigated compounds studied. It has been shown iron (III) tested bind via intercalative mode. One most striking among antioxidant activity tests is hydroxyl radical scavenging are higher than standard mannitol.
